Well, the last journal entry was over two years old, perhaps I should ... write another? High school (the last two years of which destroyed any and all inclination to be creative in favour of mind-numbing study) is officially over! Yay! So now I'm off to Europe in a week's time, all by myself, and the urge to be creative has returned. Expect photos and random little sketches. With lack of use, any drawing skill I may have had has faded, I'll have to start all over again, but no matter. I want to improve this year :^^:

I'm doing work experience with a team of designers in a mobile phone company ... really interesting! It's forced me to realise my own photoshop skills are deeply pathetic, I think I've learnt more just by watching these guys work than I have in my entire life of self-teaching

But at least they let me make things. I'm animating christmas cards right now..! (Then again, sitting in front of a monitor 9 till 5 is pretty exhausting. Which is why om on here now, getting a break )

Exam-time stress is cascading away. I feel like a waterfall releasing all the responsibility to some stream far below, to be carried away to a distant ocean ...   To be at the end of something is truly relieving. Then again, maybe exam time has permanently changed me. I'm spouting similes! Oh dear. I've got hyperboles and hyperbolas all mixed together, maths and english and all that. Needless to say, my right brain has been swamped for a while by this logic overdose, and I really feel like being lazily creative once in a while!

On another, positive, note: I bought my macbook!  After almost ten months of saving; I can't express how contented and proud I feel. I purr when I open its elegant lid!

Haven't been near DA for some months now, not sure why but I've been doing other things. I'm hoping to upload some more things soon though.

I'm reading 'Drawing on the Right side of the Brain', a very good book! It will get me excited about art again I think

But oh dear, study study study

...that I saw in a book:

"Jag tänker leva, inte bara överleva."

Roughly translated, this means "I want to live, not just survive". Or, "I want to live, not just live on." some thing like that. I love it! It totally sums up how I'm feeling right now

This weekend I'm hopefully going to sit down and submit some of the many photos I took in the holidays. I'm really happy with some of them
